NEBINAR! Conference in Wrocław

In early June 2023, the Nebinar community gathered in Wrocław for an inspiring conference organized by the Faculty of Architecture at Wrocław University of Technology and the Lower Silesian Chamber of Architects.

Day One: A Historic Inauguration

The conference kicked off with a ceremonial opening at the Chamber’s headquarters, located in a stunning modernist building developed under the renowned WuWa project. The theme of the meeting was “Bauhaus before the Bauhaus,” highlighting the rich heritage and influence of the Bauhaus movement on contemporary architecture and design.

Day Two: Exploring New Horizons

The second day of discussions took place at the Wrocław University of Technology’s Faculty of Architecture, housed in a historic building that once served as a construction school. The focus of the day’s agenda was on the prospects for developing the New European Bauhaus initiative.

As the day concluded, we were treated to a delightful dinner hosted by representatives from SARP Wrocław. Guests enjoyed breathtaking views of the beautifully illuminated University of Wrocław, creating a perfect backdrop for networking and exchanging ideas.

Day Three: A Visit to WuWa 2

On the third day, we had the opportunity to visit the WuWa 2 housing estate, guided by members of the Wrocław design community involved in the project. This visit offered valuable insights into the innovative housing solutions and sustainable practices being implemented in the area.

Gratitude for a Memorable Experience

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the organizers and guests for fostering such a rich and friendly atmosphere during the conference. The discussions, collaborations, and connections made during this event will undoubtedly contribute to the ongoing dialogue around the New European Bauhaus initiative.

We look forward to future gatherings and continuing to explore the intersection of architecture, design, and sustainability!
