BE-WoodEN Webinar

This webinar series is organised as part of the European project LIFE BE-WoodEN, which aims to increase the circular economy and the use of wood in construction. BE-WoodEN aims to train experienced professionals in design according to the principles of the New European Bauhaus, increase knowledge in sustainable design, with a specific focus on the use of wood and an in-depth study of the characteristics of natural materials and composite products. The training activities consist of three modules of webinars (with 8 or 9 webinars each) delivered online asynchronously, each of which can be followed independently.

Selection for subsequent BE-WoodEN project activities

At the end of each webinar, there will be a chance to express interest in participating in the selection for subsequent project phases (activities will be partially reimbursed):

  • Winter School at the laboratories of the University of Florence (January 2025);
  • Workshop at the InnoRenew CoE in Izola, Slovenia (February 2025);
  • Innovation Labs (autumn 2024) – a shared design workshop according to New European Bauhaus principles – and Challenge Based Learning design competition for the redevelopment and interior and exterior design of a social housing building in Imperia (early 2025). The winning project will be partly implemented and the winners will participate in the award ceremony during the final event of the BE-WoodEN project at the European Commission in Brussels (January 2026).

Participation in the workshops and winter school will be free of charge, and the participants’ accommodation costs will be borne by the BE-WoodEN project.
